Sjoerd Vlessert is an experimental graphic designer from Eindhoven, The Netherlands, with over eight years of experience in the field. His work spans a wide range of projects, from large-scale billboards and complete brand identities to cover art for charting American musicians. Sjoerd takes a hands-on approach to every project, often overseeing the full creative process—from concept development to final delivery. His multidisciplinary style and commitment to both artistic expression and strategic design make his work stand out in both commercial and cultural contexts.
Under the name Blueberry Expo, He organises and curates group exhibitions, taking on the full scope of production and communication — from selecting venues and shaping the thematic concept to designing visual materials such as posters, promotional content, merchandise, and social media campaigns. As an art exhibition organiser, He is experienced in managing the entire process from concept to execution, with a strong focus on communication, creative strategy, and audience engagement. This has given him a solid foundation in both the conceptual and practical aspects of cultural project development.
As an artist Sjoerd also works on projects under the alias December13. Every piece he makes under this alias belongs to a deeply personal world shaped by his life. It’s a realm inhabited by complex, symbolic figures—crying demons, porcelain jesters, moss-covered forests, and misty meadows—each representing fragments of lived experience. Many of these characters are born from his inner demons: personal flaws, fears, and emotional struggles reimagined as visual metaphors, offering a way to confront and cope with them.
